On June 19, 2020 Kathleen (Kitty) Sampson passed away at the age of 66 followed by her husband William (Bill) Sampson on June 20, 2020 at the age of 73. Bill served in the Army during Vietnam and retired from the post office in 2012 as a rural carrier after 20 years of service. During their 30 years of marriage they spent their time together in the community with their beloved animals from the Maplewood Farms Petting Zoo, providing carriage rides, attending functions in the community, spoiling their grandkids, and enjoying life together. Wherever they were and whatever they were doing they made sure everyone around them was as happy as they were. As a true devoted team, they were together until the end after losing their battle to a brief illness.

Our family will cherish the great memories from Christmas together every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving so it would not interfere with making our own family traditions as we moved away. We will also cherish the memories from the trips to Amish Country in Shipshewana, the only place where life flows slower than in Kinde.

They are survived by their children Don (Val) Sampson, Holly (Tom) Mills, Russ (Jennifer) Sampson, Tony Sampson, Rebecca (Jason) Colasuonno, Trevor Thomas, and devoted family friend Janelle Gorkowski. Grandchildren Samantha, Brendon, Tyler, Christopher, Julia, Hannah, Sophia, Owen, Emma, Nolan, Connor, Charlie. Great-Grandchildren (2).

They are survived by Kitty's siblings Penny (Brent) Woodward, Russ (Cheryl) Grigg, Joe (Heather) Grigg and sister-in-law Judy Grigg; and preceded in death by parents Loren and Tiny Grigg, brother Bob Grigg.

They are survived by Bill's siblings Dorothy Sampson and Carol Sampson; and preceded in death by parents Russell and Thelma Sampson, step-mother Georgina Sampson.

Per their wishes, Cremation has taken place Through the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.  A service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, July 7, at the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church. Due to social distancing recommendations visitation hours will not take place. Please bring your lawn chairs if you can, masks are encouraged.
