Sylvester J. Polega, 88, of Kinde died October 30, 2023, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.  He was born May 11, 1935, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Andreski) Polega.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Pawlowski o Kinde, Niece Karen (Eric) Roggenbuck and Nephews, Timothy, Brian (Tricia) Pawlowski; as well as his great nieces and nephews:  Cynthia, Jason, Lara (Kent) Derek (Melanie), Nicholas, Kathryn (Chet), Jeremy (Hannah), Jennifer, Sheridan (Matthew), and Kendall.  Also surviving are several great-great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother=in=law Paul Pawlowski.

Sylvester was a member of St. Mary's Catholic. He enjoyed farming, from which he retired in 1997.  After his retirement he continued to have cattle and chickens.

Visitation for Sylvester Polega will be Friday, November 3, 2023, from 3:00 until 8:oo pm at the Knoblock Funeral Home, and on Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 10:00 am until the time of funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
