Ronald D. Beatty Jr.

Ron Beatty, 59, of Port Austin died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his home with the comfort of his family.

Ron was an Army Veteran and also a member of the American Legion Post #499. He was an outdoorsman and spent his time fishing near the Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. He also enjoyed going down the Au Sable River, camping in the woods of Lewiston, MI, his bird dogs; Abby and Bella and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a student of Grosse Pointe North and Macomb Community College.

He is survived by his daughters; Brandy Beatty of Armada, Amber (Bob) Freiberg of Port Huron and Erin (Neal Slifco) Beatty of Chelsea; his fiancé Tanya Lee of Port Austin; her sons, Peter (Angela) Liccardello, David (Amanda) Liccardello and John (Jessica) Liccardello; his sisters, Laura Beatty and Bonnie (Jim) Bate; his step-father, Jack Lucas; his grandchildren; Victoria, Jacob, Rebecca, Christopher (Kelly Day), Ethan, Lucas, Dylan, Arlo, Lyla, Katlyn (Wende Caudillo), Abby, Caleb, Cody, Jessy, Maria, Aiden, Addison, and Sophia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald D. Beatty Sr. And Janet Lucas and the mother of his children, Diane Beatty.

A memorial service will be held at the Port Austin American Legion 499, 8875 Hellems Rd, Port Austin, MI, 48467 on Sunday May 22nd from 2-7 pm.
