Richard William LesPerance, Jr., 64, of Port Austin died on Thursday, December 2, 2021, after a lengthy illness.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 9, 1957, the son of Richard William LesPerance, Sr., and Jessica (Binienda) LesPerance.

Rick and Lynne Marie (Horvath) LesPerance were married on November 5, 1982, in Berkley, Michigan.  He served in the US Navy from 1975-1979 on the USS Seattle and has remained very supportive of the military.   He loved his family and the fact that he is a grandpa.  He was the first one to lend a hand to others and loved entertaining his friends.  He enjoyed eating chicken paprikash and drinking Strohs beer.  Rick had a great sense of humor and was the "life of the party" and was loved by all.

Rick enjoyed gardening and lawn work with his wife.  He loved working with his hands, building, and woodworking.  Fishing was one of his hobbies, as well as restoring and cleaning guns.  He worked as a construction cable manager for charter communications.

Mr. LesPerance is survived by his wife, Lynne and his children; Mandy (Thomas) Wright, Richard (Danielle) LesPerance III, Jason (Nicole) LesPerance and Eric (Valerie) LesPerance.  Also surviving are his grandchildren: Colette, Breanna, and Justin Wright, Colin, Layla, Jace, and Jack LesPerance, and Cheyenne Hendry.

He is also survived by his sisters:  Kathy (Jim) Sestak, Karen LesPerance, and Sue (Ron) Wells, and many nieces and nephews.  Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert LesPerance, his nephew, Mark Thibert, his niece Cindy Joanes, and his parents-in-law, Ed and Faye Horvath.

He also left behind his dogs, which he loved and often referred to as his "Laboradumbs."

There will be a memorial service for Richard LesPerance, Jr., in the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde from 11am to 2pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021, with luncheon to follow at the Pasta House in Kinde.
