Raymond J. Millerschin, 81, of Port Austin, died on Friday, May 28, 2021, in Rochester Hills, Michigan

He was born on August 11, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Raymond J. and Edna (Balbaugh Millerschin.  He and Gloria Turner were united in marriage on November 25, 1961 in Detroit.

He proudly served in the United State Navy aboard the USS Saratoga.  He worked for 34 years at Otis Elevator, retiring in 1998.  Raymond and Gloria raised their family in Lapeer, spending summers in Port Austin.  After twenty-three years they then sold their home in Lapeer and spent Summers in Port Austin and winters in Auburndale, Florida.

Ray was very handy and loved working on projects in his garage.  He loved his 4Gs:  God, Grandchildren, Golf and his Garage.

He is survived by his four children:  Joy Courtney of Rochester Hills, John (Erin) Millerschin of West Bloomfield, Joe (Beth) Millerschin of Goodrich and Jim (Kim) Millerschin of North Branch.  Also surviving are his grandchildren:  Kelsey (Dustin) Gamza, Ellie and Olivia Millerschin, Lauren Courtney, Kara, Jack, Max, and Jake Millerschin.

Funeral Mass for Ray Millerschin will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 am in St. Michael's Catholic Church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Port Austin.  Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.  Funeral Arrangement were handled by The Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde, Michigan.
