Michalene Marie Tomlinson, 82, of Kinde, passed away on January 28, 2025, at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 3, 1942, in Kinde to the late Arthur and Margaret Ratajczak, Michalene lived a life filled with love, adventure, and warmth.

In 1961, Michalene graduated from Kinde High School and soon after, on December 2, 1961, she married Robert Tomlinson at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kinde of Dwight Township. Together, they spent 63 wonderful years, creating a lifetime of cherished memories.

Michalene and Robert had the opportunity to travel the world, visiting favorite destinations such as Hawaii, Sweden, Russia, and Spain. They also enjoyed camping and fishing, reveling in the fresh air and wildlife of Alaska and soaking in the winter sun of Florida. When at home, Michalene found joy in tending to her flowers and plants, as well as in coloring and completing puzzles. Her exceptional homemade cooking brought her family together, filling the kitchen with love and creativity during cherished family gatherings.

Michalene's gentle warmth and kind-hearted nature touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert; her children, Ronald (Cristina), James (Erin), and Swedish daughter Suzanne; her grandchildren, Natalie, Alexandra, Sofia, and Aimee; and her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret, and her brothers, John, Dennis, and Donald.

Michalene's legacy of love, kindness, and family will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Dwight Township.  Burial will follow at the New River Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30 from 2-8pm at the Knoblock Funeral Home ion Kinde and on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the Church.
