Michael John Musich age 78 of Port Austin passed away     April 29 ^th , 2022  at home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born on Sept 1, 1943 in Milwaukee to the late Rudolph and Blanche Musich.  Michael served in the United States Air Force 1961 – 1965.  He and Mary Koenig were united in marriage in 1965.  They raised their two daughters in Commerce Twp, Michigan.

Michael retired from IBM after 37years.  He and Mary then moved to their retirement home in Port Austin.  In his lifetime he was involved in Inter-Lakes Girls Softball League (Walled Lake, MI).  Valley Silver Squares (Bay City, MI), American Legion Post #499, Council on Aging and the U & I Club (all in Huron County, MI).

He was an avid woodworker and shared his talent with many family members and friends.  He enjoyed getting together with friends for cards, movies and meals out.  Family was always a top priority and he would make a point of attending all get togethers no matter their distance.  Give him a chance to pack his toothbrush and he was ready to go anyplace.

Michael is survived by his wife Mary, his daughters Kimberly Laviolette of Pigeon Forge, TN, Beverly Musich of Howell),  grandsons:  Joshua Hocquard of Grand Rapids, Tyler Laviolette of White Lake), Logan Laviolette (of Lansing.  Also surviving is his sister Nathleen Rajala oof IL. Sister-in-Law Helen Musich of AZ,   In-Laws Patti Koenig of AZ, Mike Koenig (Elaine) of Washington Twp, Karl Koenig (Judy) of Wolverine Lake,  and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by son-in-law Bryan Laviolette.  sister Lenore (Marvin) Wilkinson, brother Rudolph and brother-in-law Clarence Rajala.

Funeral Mass will be at St. Michael's Church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Port Austin at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2002.  Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until the Mass at 11:00, with Military Honors following the Mass.  Arrangements through the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde, MI
