Mary E. Griem, 76, of Port Austin, died Tuesday February 11, 2025, at Covenant Medical Center in Saginaw. She was born on September 8, 1948, in Detroit, daughter of the late Russel and Fanchon (Shoemaker) Rice.  She married Richard Griem on July 10, 1965, in Detroit. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2016.

Mary was a Girl Scout Leader. She loved spending time with her family, as well as traveling.

She is survived by her daughters, Richelle (Scott) Ranquist, Shannon (Randall) Denam, Miranda (Kevin Morell) Griem, and Gabrielle (Matt) Kumlin; her grandchildren, Jasmyn Ranquist, Alexandra (Jacob) Taylor, Zachary Mostek, Mackenzie Lesoski, Skyler Lesoski, Lacey Lesoski, Kaden Hirth, Eleanor Kumlin, Evie Kumlin, and Oskar Kumlin; and her great-grandchildren, Koralyn Taylor, Tinsley Taylor, Vyla Taylor, and Wrenlee Vanderpool.  She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen (Rus) Peterson and Judy Rice, and her brother-in-law, Gerald (Edwina) Griem.

Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Mize, and her brother-in-law, Floyd Griem.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11am at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde. There will be visitation on Sunday from 2-8pm and on Monday from 10am until the time of service at 11am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Port Austin Township Cemetery.
