Mark J. Arpin of Port Austin and Royal Oak, passed away May 1, 2020.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 15, 1950, the son of Francis and Nora Frances (Campbell) Arpin.  Mark is the beloved husband of Nora (Teagan) Arpin for 47 years and was her soulmate for more than 50 years.

Mark worked for Oakland University's Meadow Brook Hal for 15 years where he began his career in Commercial Photography.  He was a talented photographer who specialized in auto racing, golf, portraits and architectural photos. Mark worked for Michigan Golfer during which time he took wonderful pictures of many professional golfers including Jack Nicklaus.

He also photographed Presidents Jimmy Carter and George H. Bush. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Reader's Digest and 2 books for Autorama enthusiasts.  His pictures of Detroit were featured in numerous places by the Detroit Convention and Visitor's Bureau including Detroit Metropolitan Airport. His particular love was photographing classic cars.

He was a Board member of the Meadow Brook Hall Concours d'Elegance and their official photographer for many years. His pictures of Meadow Brook Hall and Concours live on in archives and numerous publications about the event.

Mark is survived by his loving wife and two brothers, Ken (Kyoung) Arpin, and Rick (Teresa) Arpin.

five nieces and nephews and had a special bond with a great nephew, Eddie Lowe.He is also survived by his best friend of 65 years, Donald Oakley and good friend for over 40 years, Eddie Tann.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life when the pandemic allows us to gather together to remember him.  Arrangements were through the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde, MI
