LORRAINE KELTERBORN

Lorraine Kelterborn, 85, of Port Austin, died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence in Saginaw.
She was born in Port Austin on April 16, 1931, second daughter of late Edwin Knoblock and Gertrude (Sosnowski) Knoblock.
She and Dave Kelterborn were married on January 3, 1953 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2007.
Lorraine graduated from Port Austin High School and Providence Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan. Lorraine was a registered nurse and worked at Providence Hospital in Detroit, Sister's Hospital and Millard Filmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo, New York.
She retired from nursing but volunteered for the last ten years at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon, Michigan. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, volunteering at schools, traveling, reading, singing and dancing. She loved walking around Port Austin and could often been seen spotted on the break wall. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She touched a lot of lives in her 85 years. Lorraine will always have a warm place in our hearts and we will forever hear her voice reminding us to dance every chance we have and to pick more daisies.
She is survived by one son, David (Beverly) Kelterborn, of Acworth, Georgia; three daughters, Sandra (Joe) Pufahl, of Cutchogue, New York, Deanna (Larry) Peters, of Boulder, Colorado, and Laura (Marks) Alexander, of Decatur, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Kelsy and Matthew Kelterborn, Kyle and Colleen Lehman, David, Dylan, Laura and Madelyn Peters and Kaia Alexander; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings; Florence Yaroch, Lillian Dolan, Venice (Gene) Clancy, Irene Pettit, Edwin Knoblock, Eldon Knoblock, Betty Jane Hertel, Ken (Belle) Knoblock, Dan Knoblock, Don (Marilou) Knoblock, Karen (Jack) Gilbreath, Gary (Beth) Knoblock, and Linda (Paul) Burger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at St. Michael's Catholic Church of The Annunciation of The Lord Parish in Port Austin with Fr. Craig Carolan. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be conducted from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in The Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral.
