Leonard Knoblock, of Kinde, MI, died unexpectedly at the age of 64 on Nov. 27, 2022, in Bogota, Colombia. He was born in 1958 to Jannette (Krajenka) Knoblock and Lewie Knoblock. He graduated as salutatorian from North Huron Schools, his senior quote being "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing," and he lived by this motto. He was a life-long learner, receiving his Bachelor's degree in economics at the age of 60. Formal education, however, was not as important for him as continuous self-improvement, unceasing self-challenge, from obtaining a pilot's license to running a marathon at 61, and pleasure of learning new things, from philosophy to calculus.

He was an avid traveler and found great enjoyment in going places and meeting new people. He conducted over a hundred volunteer consulting projects with USAID subsidiaries, and has helped countless businesses in Europe, Asia, and Africa by creating business plans and conducting feasibility studies for them. He met his wife of 22 years, Natalia Knoblock, during one of his volunteer assignments. Besides serving internationally, he gave back to the local community and served as a volunteer basketball coach for over 20 years. He was a successful business owner, accumulating a substantial farm over his lifetime. He was a hard worker, putting in 14 and 16 hours per day when necessary, taking good care of his land and equipment, and being meticulous in all he did.

His family was the most important thing in the world to him, and he put his soul into raising his daughter Paulina and son Lev, always being a positive role model for them. A kind-hearted, soft-spoken, honest, reliable, selfless person, Leonard will be missed by his wife and children, his siblings: Leonora (Deacon Jene) Baughman, Joseph (Venessa) Knoblock, Felicia (Dennis) Schulte, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, as well as friends and neighbors.

A memorial service will be conducted at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin at 11:30 am on December 17th, 2022. Immediately afterwards, a celebration of life will be held at the Pasta House ballroom in Kinde. Everyone is welcome to attend to remember Len and share their story about him.
