KATHLEEN MEAGHER
Kathleen (Kathy) Meagher, 72, of Royal Oak, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

She was born on January 30, 1942 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Roth) Hill. Kathy graduated from Elkton High School in 1960. Her class was the last graduating class of the Elkton High School. She married Thomas F. Meagher on May 28, 1976 in Kinde.

Kathy loved sewing, embroidery and especially quilting. She was very generous in giving her finished creations to family members to be kept as family heirlooms of her talent. Kathy also loved summer weekends at their cottage in Oak Beach. She had a special touch experimenting with frozen concoctions which were always delicious.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Thomas Meagher of Royal Oak; one son, Joe Heilbronn of St. Clair Shores; one daughter, Anne (Dan) Bonar of Sterling Heights; grandson, Owen Bonar of Sterling Heights; two sisters, Barbara (Bill Lackie of Filion, Jeri Herron of Holt; one brother, Stephen (Lynn) Hill of Pigeon; sisters in law, Janet Hill of Pigeon, Katherine (Ken) Sosnoski of Port Austin, Patricia (Willard) Chaplinski of Long View, TX, Mary Carriveau of Port Austin, Loretta (Mike) Schmidt of Gagetown; brother in law, Samuel Meagher, of Port Austin and many nieces and nephews. Kathy is also survived by her very special longtime "FOUR" legged companion, Frosty.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Rob Hill, one sister, Patricia Braun and one brother-in-law John Carriveau.

Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time the memorial Mass at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Michael's church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Port Austin with Father Craig G. Carolan officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Family's discretionary fund. Arrangements by the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.
