Jerry M. Lawrence, 85 of Kinde, entered eternal life after a battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 21, 2024,

at McLaren Hospital, Bad Axe.

He was born on February 11, 1939, in Bad Axe, son of late Winfield and Ola (Frost) Lawrence.  He married Phyllis Endersbe on September 24, 1960, and she entered eternal rest on January 5, 1991.  He married Audrey Sosnoski on August 31, 1996.

Jerry was a farmer and retired from Michigan Livestock/United Producers Inc. after 41 years of employment.  Jerry was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Czestochowa (Annunciation of the Lord Parish) in Kinde.  He was an avid hunter bear, elk, and deer.  Whenever anyone would talk about hunting, he would light right up.

He enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, dancing, and attending family and friends get together.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey, four daughters: Lynn (Joe) Schmitt, Vickie (Steve) Vaughan, Annette (Mike) Gorney, and Kim Farver (special friend Tom); son, Jerry (Dawn) Lawrence; grandchildren Eric (Adrianna) Schmitt, Matthew (Ashley) Schmitt, Nancy (Kenny) Doyle, Jessica (Robert) Rivera, Mark (Lisa) Gorney, and Travis Farver; 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.

Jerry is also survived by his sisters, Margaret (Tom) Endersbe and Valerie Batey; brothers-in-law Kenneth (Kate) Sosnoski, Dennis Wrubel, and Steve Sump

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis; sister Ramona (John) Iseler Tschirhart; brothers, Jean (Mary) Lawrence, Dale (Doris) Lawrence; brother-in-law Bill Batey; sisters-in-law Maxine Sosnoski Sump, and Joan Sosnoski Wrubel.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:00 am   at St. Mary's Catholic Church Czestochowa of (Annunciation of the Lord Parish) in Kinde with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating.  Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10am until the time of service at the church.  Cremation has taken place.  A private burial will be taking place, at a later time. Arrangements are being handled by Knoblock Funeral Home of Kinde.
