James E. Davis, 88, of Port Austin Michigan passed away March 31, 2020.

His life began on Nov of 1931 in Mt. Morris Mi. He met the love of his life Barbara, married, moved to Flint and had three children, Alan, Susan and Kelly. The family grew to 5 generations! His favorite thing was to take the family camping, fishing and hunting.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War, worked for GM as a Millwright, retired, moved to Port Austin and joined the Coast Guard as well as assisted the local Police dept. in water rescues. He enjoyed being a jokester and you never knew what he was up to! His son-in-laws, Michael and Pat always especially enjoyed his antics!

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara and parents James and Martha Kern Davis as well as his five brothers, Roy, Harvey, Emerson, Howard and Tom. He was later blessed with a new love, Mary Ann, who was with him until his passing. He leaves behind, his sister-in-law Nancy Comer, son Alan (Andrew, Evan, Kyle and their children), daughter Susan Newton (husband Michael and son Jamie Lake and children), daughter Kelly Blayney (husband Pat children Nicholas, Terra and Alyssa and their children).

He had a wonderful soul and everyone who met him loved and looked up to him as a great man. You will be sadly missed by all, even Fred!
