James Paul Byrne, 49, of Port Austin passed away at his home on October 26, 2022.  He was born on June 14, 1973, in Harbor Beach, the son of Jack and Kathy (Evans) Byrne.

Jimmy loved football, hunting and a good game of euchre.  He had been employed at Huron Casting in Pigeon, worked as a Chef at The Boat House in Caseville, and the Breakers, as well as at The Bank Restaurant in Port Austin.  He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

James is survived by his parents:  His brother, Joey, and his favorite niece, Rainy.  He is also survived by his Aunt Rita and his cousins, Carol, Bryan, Robby, Raymond, Kathy, all of New York; Pattie of Florida, and Elizabeth of Georgia.  Also surviving are special friends Deana and Larry Warnack of Capac.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny and sister, Christy.

A celebration of Jimmy's Life will be held at the American Legion, Post 499 in Port Austin on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 2:00-5:00 pm.   Arrangements through the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde.
