Jacklyn Colleen Ruth, 83, of Caseville, died on May 20, 2018 at home.  She was born on December 26, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late John Cady and Mayme Elizabeth Bridges Cady.

She was married to Earl J Ruth, who preceded her in death.  She and Earl owned and operated the Mio Saloon for over 30 years.  She moved to Caseville in 1983 and enjoyed the view of the lake with her longtime partner, William Carpenter.  Jacklyn loved her grandchildren and swimming.  She also, being true to her heritage, enjoyed Irish Whiskey.

Jacklyn is survived by her partner, William Carpenter and her children, Terrence (Carol) Ruth of Mio, Lori (Robert) Watkins of Kalkaska, and Susan (Michael) Philbrick of St. Clair Shores.  She is also survived by her grandchildren:  Jennifer (Michael) Chapman, Terrence Joseph Ruth, Shannon (Michael) Alexander, Jessica Phillips, Riordan Philbrick, Mayme Philbrick, Aidan Philbrick, Moira Philbrick and her great-grandchildren:  Daisy and Strider Ruth, and Avery Chapman

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin Phillips and her siblings:  Stephen, Owen, and Beverly, as well.

Funeral Mass for Jacklyn Ruth will be Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Felix Catholic Church in Pinnebog.   Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00am.  Funeral arrangements were handled by the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.

The family wishes memorial donations be directed to Heartland Hospice or the American Cancer Foundation.
