Gerard (Gerry) Rausch, 68, of Port Austin passed away September 10, 2018 at his home.  He was born on October 11, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Carl and Eleanor (Biegalski) Rausch.  He and Linda (Konsek) Nickel were married on August 8, 2008 in Las Vegas.

Gerry enjoyed fishing of any kind, including ice fishing.  He loved to cook and took pride in his homemade Polish Kielbasa for Easter and Christmas.  He also spent many hours tying his own hooks.  He loved his wife, Linda, and his dogs, Molly and Elsie.

Gerry is survived by his wife, his sisters:  Claudette (Charlie) DeBono and Geri (Dave) DeSmyther, his step-children; Brian (Jillian) Nickel and Lynn Sneller, and his grandchild; Lucas.  Also surviving is his special friends, Aaron & Kaylen Cary, as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Rausch.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.  No further arrangements have been set at this time.

Donations may be directed to The Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton or to Calvary Baptist Church of Port Austin.

Services were handled through the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.
