Frances, 96, of Dwight Township, died on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Marlette Regional Hospital under hospice care. She was born on October 4, 1928 in Bingham Township, the daughter of the late August and Mary (Osantowski) Kubacki.  She married Felix Polega on October 25, 1947.  He preceded her in death on October 27, 1991.

Frances was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dwight Township where she was a past president of the St. Mary's Altar Society.  She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.  She was known for her lemon cheesecake.

She is survived by her children, Marjorie (Clare) Wehner, Gary (Barbara) Polega, Martin Polega, Gregory (Debora Polega, Terry (Sue) Polega, Diane (Eric) Emming, and Kevin Polega; her grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Wehner, Melissa Williams, Michele Sticker, Matthew (Gina) Wehner, Marlena (Brian) Polega, Jennifer (Jim) Helhowski, Jamie (Ryan) Cutler, Jessica Vigenski, Daniel (Chelsea) Schramski, Steve (Jill) Toner, Brian (Robyn) Toner, Nathan (Kayla) Toner, David (Kimberly) Toner, Nichole (Kevin) Laughery, Kristen (Kevin) Roemer, Shane Polega, Johla Conway, Kaleena (Aaron) Hennesey, Kayla (Brian) Allossery, Martin (Jenny) Polega, Danielle Polega, Ryan (Erica) Polega, Shawntae Polega, Caitlyn Emming, Benjamin (Chyna) Emming, Amber (Logan) Emming, Anissa Polega, Alexis Polega, Sophia Polega, Adam Polega, and Anna Parr; and 51 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are her siblings, Eleanor (Herb) Fligger, Jeanette (Robert) Skipinski, Anthony (Maryann) Kubacki, and Edward (Delores) Kubacki; her sister-in-law, Dolores Kubacki; her daughter-in-law, Karen Polega; and her sons-in-law, Don Schramski and Ken Toner.

Frances was preceded in death by her sons, Richard, Frederick, and Randall; her daughters, Dorothy Schramski and Susan Toner; her sisters, Beatrice Micklash, Christina Eilers, and Rose Smith; and her brothers, Felix, August, and Eugene Kubacki.

Funeral Mass for Frances will be held at on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dwight Township.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-8pm at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde and on Monday from 10am until the time of service at the church.
