Eugene F. Breuss, 84, of Port Austin died on December 23, 2020 at his home.

He was born January 13, 1936 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Otto and Mary (Horak) Breuss.  Eugene married Irene Jaworski on October 11, 1957 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin.

Eugene was a was a veteran of the United States Airforc, a member of The American Legion Frank Horetski Post 499 in Port Austin and he was also a member of the Port Austin Conservation Club.  He enjoyed the outdoors and all sports.  He especially loved bowling, baseball and basketball.  Eugene really came to enjoy taking bus trips to the casinos.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene of Port Austin, his son, Duane Breuss of Port Austin and his daughter, Diana (Ray) Streussnig of Bad Axe; four grandchildren, Brian and Bradley Breuss and Cody and Cameron Streussnig; and one great grandchild, Brendan Breuss.

He was preceded in death by his children, Eugene Jr., Michael, and Luke; his granddaughter, Melissa; his great granddaughters, Breianna and Alison; and his brothers, James and Bill.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-11am at the church.  Arrangements are being handled by the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.
