Eldon John Knoblock, 81, of Port Austin died Friday, March 27, 2020 at McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe following an apparent heart attack.

He was one of fourteen children born to the late Edwin and Gertrude (Sosnoski) Knoblock in Port Austin on February 24, 1939.

He graduated from Port Austin High School.  After graduation he enlisted in the US Marine Corps.  He worked for years doing chain link fence construction in the Detroit Metro area.  After retiring to the Port Austin area, he owned and operated Al's Market.   Until recently, he owned and operated B & B Tree Service in Port Austin.

He enjoyed his treasures.  Everything has a value and he never owned anything that was not worth keeping.  He had an amazing sense of humor.  His uncanny quick wit often would result in extended BS dialogues.

He is survived by his children: Kelly (Steve) Busby of Hillsburgh, Ontario, Canada and Jeffrey Cornett of Royal Oak, his grandchildren, Grant (Veronica) Pearson of Burlington, Ontario and Madison Busby of Hillsburgh, Ontario, and his great granddaughter, Savannah Pearson, Burlington, Ontario.

Also surviving are his siblings: Florence Yaroch, Venice Clancy, Irene Pettit, Betty Jane Hertel, Ken (Belle) Knoblock, Dan Knoblock, Don (Marilou) Knoblock, Karen (Jack) Gilbreath, Gary (Beth) Knoblock and Linda (Paul) Burger, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lorraine Kelterborn, Lillian Dolan, Edwin Knoblock, Jr., and his brothers-in-law; Ed Dolan, Irv Pettit, David Kelterborn, Larry Yaroch and Gene Clancy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements were made through the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde, Michigan.
