Edward Frank Sera of Port Austin, died on February 7, 2017 in Brighton, Michigan.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 1, 1949, the son of the late Edward and Ann (Pendrick) Sera.  Edward and Pamela (Boyd) were married on June 23, 1978.

Ed appreciated the simple things in life and cherished moments spent with family and  friends.  Many close to him called him "Fast Eddie", he was a rebel rock star of his time; loved music, movies, art, good food, storm chasing, star gazing and tattoos.  Eddie was an avid Michigan State Fan, spent time building replica's of war models and, when able. loved to golf and garden.  Ed retired from Dow Chemical in Harbor Beach and was a past member of Port Austin Conservation Club, North Huron School Board and Huron County Democratic Party.

Ed Sera is survived by: his five children; Tracy (Corey) Cates of Port Huron, Edward J. (Lean Ann) Sera of Sarasota, Florida, Timothy (Joey Curry) Sera of Port Austin, Jessica (Levi) Schultz of Brighton, and Jamie (Dave May) of Marlette:  His fifteen grandchildren; Corey Jr., Shayna, Darien, Tatiana and Carl Cates, Samantha, Alyson and Jakob Sera, Connor and Sydnee Sutliff,  Lydia, Sylvia and Edison Schultz, Hunter and Ryder May:  Great grandchildren; Nevaeh, Skyee Hall and one little baby girl on the way.

Ed is also survived by his sister Debra (Joseph) DeCarlo of Roscommon, father-in-law Frank Boyd of Mikado, sister-in-law Linda (Jay) Schick of Warren, Brother-In-Law Craig Boyd of Mikado, and sister-in-law Chris Boyd of Madison Heights.

Ed was preceded in death by: his loving wife Pam, granddaughter Emily, his parents Ed and Ann Sera, and his mother-in-law Katherine Boyd.

Visitations will be on Saturday February 11, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Knoblock Funeral Home.  Per Ed's wishes, cremation will follow.
