DOROTHY A. CAMARDA

Dorothy Camarda, 70, of Port Austin, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.

She was born on April 27, 1947 in Toronto, Canada.   Dorothy married Joseph Camarda in May of 1980 at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church in Warren.  Dorothy and Joseph moved from Warren to Port Austin in 1996.  She worked at the Franklin Inn in Bad Axe and enjoyed spending her time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Joseph, of Port Austin; three children, Maria (Tom) Hoebeke, Gina (Bob) Rossi, and Vince Camarda; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Joseph Hoebeke, Thomas Hoebeke, Douglas Reske, Frank Camarda, Vincent Camarda, Anthony Camarda, and Rachel Camarda; and 6 great-grandchildren, Aaron Inda, Reese Hoebeke, Joseph Hoebeke, Taylor Elliott, Joshua Elliott, and John Elliott.

She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Camarda and her grandson, James R. Jones II.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday March 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin.  Cremation has taken place and burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  There will be visitation at the church on Thursday from 10am until the time of service.  Arrangements are being handled by the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.
