Dennis M. Bartlett Sr., 73, of Leesburg, FL died May 6, 2017 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center North.

He was born on December 18, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Charles and Anna (Mikonowicz) Bartlett.  He and Belinda Porzondek were married on August 20, 1960 in Detroit.  Belinda preceded him in death on October 26, 2005.

Dennis and Belinda moved from Detroit to Grindstone where they operated the Grindstone General Store for 20 years.  He moved from Grindstone to Leesburg, FL in 2014.

He was a United States Navy Veteran.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and riding his golf cart around the neighborhood.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis Bartlett, Jr. and Christopher Bartlett both of Grindstone:  his brothers James (Delores) Bartlett of Almont and Charles Bartlett of Florida; his in-laws, Martin (Susan) Porzondek of Grindstone, Frank (Mary Ann) Porzondek of Port Hope and Harry (Darlene) Porzondek of Summerfield, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, George, Daniel and Larry Porzondek.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon.  Burial of Cremains with military honors will follow in the New River Cemetery.
