CHARLENE M. JIMKOSKI
Charlene M. Jimkoski, 61, Port Austin died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at home.
She was born July 4, 1954 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the daughter of William and Elfrieda (Jahn) Horetski.
She and James Jimkoski were married on April 27, 1974 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rapson.
Charlene was a 1972 graduate of Port Austin High School. She worked at Hamill Manufacturing in Bad Axe, Michigan until it closed. She then graduated from the nursing program at SCCCC in Bad Axe in 1993. She worked at the Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe for 14 years. She was a former treasurer of the ITRC and a member of the Huron County Sheriff's Posse since 1997.
Charlene loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cake decorating, riding horses, snowmobiling, ORVs, Fishing, Camping, going up North with the MTRA, gardening, pets, and motorcycle trips.
She is survived by her husband, James Jimkoski of Port Austin, her children; Mark Jimkoski and Theresa Cummings of Port Austin, Julie (Patrick) Isabell of Bretheren, MI, Rachael (James) Denno of Bridgeport, John Jimkoski of Verona; her four grandchildren: Dakota Denno, Abigail Isabell, Owen Denno, and Wylder Jimkoski, her mother, Elfrieda Bayer of Bad Axe, and her step-mother, Wanda Horetski of Linwood. Charlene is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann (Michael) Neumann of Bad Axe, her step-brothers: Dennis (Jennifer) Bayer, of South Carolina, Robert Bayer of Florida, and Richard (Denise)Dubay of Bay City, as well as her step-sisters: Barbara (Bob) Kirkpatrick of Bay City, Rhonda (Gregg) Mesecar of Pinconning, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father, William Horetski, her Step-father, Francis Bayer, her brother, Donald Horetski and her step-sister, Cindy Witemyre.
Funeral will be on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholica Church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish. Visitation will be Sunday at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde from 2:00-9:00 pm and at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00am.
