Carl Ignash of Bad Axe passed away on December 30 ^th from complications of COVID-19.  Carl was born March 20, 1947 to the late Raymond & Helen (Sosnoski) Ignash.  He married Judy Pike on December 29, 1966.  They were married 54 years.

Carl served in the Army on Okinawa during the Vietnam War.  After coming home from the Service he became a journeyman die-cast die maker in Detroit.  They moved to Bad Axe in 1973.  He worked at Berne Enterprises and then at Huron Castings.  For the last several years he worked for Eagle Aluminum Cast Products of Muskegon, MI.

Carl, Judy and family traveled extensively and were particularly fond of the National Parks.  He enjoyed showing his pictures at the Bad Axe District Library's "Neighbors-on-the-Go" program.  Carl was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Huron County Community Foundation and the Indian Trails Riding Club.  He was a 4-H Leader for many years and enjoyed working with the Handi-Riders and the 4-H equestrian program.  He lately really enjoyed his Polaris side-by-side and riding the trails with a lot more horsepower.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, daughters Karen (Dave) Poma of Bentley and Amy (Jerry) Lusk of Saginaw, his sister, Mary (Matt) Babcock of Port Austin and his brother Jim Ignash of Evart and sister and brother-in-law, Sharon & Harry Rankin of Westland and nephew and several nieces.

He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed!

Arrangements are being handled by the Knoblock Funeral Home.  Due to the Pandemic, there will be no service or gathering at this time.  Donations may be made to The National Parks Conservation Association, Our Savior Lutheran Church, or the Bad Axe District Library.
