Allen R. Pattison, 98, of Port Austin, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.  He was Born in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Joseph W. and Catherine E. (Kennedy) Pattison.

He and Denise I. (Fisher) Pattison were married on September 11, 1948, in St. Aloysius Church in Detroit by Fr. Henry Villerat.  Denise preceded him in death on August 8, 2013.  He attended various schools in Detroit and he graduated from Southeastern High in Detroit.  He was a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts/Business degree.

Allen was a Marine veteran and served in World War II, The Korean War, and the Cold War.  He worked for General Electric in management in Sales, Marketing and Distribution retiring after over thirty-six years.

Allen and his wife lived in Detroit, Michigan, Jacksonville, NC., Birmingham, MI., Farmington Hills, MI., Littleton Co., Rochester Hills, Mi and returned to Port Austin in November of 2000.  They traveled through Mexico, Caribbean, Latin America, South America, Europe, The Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and China.

Allen was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Port Austin, the Historical Society. Friends of the Library, American Legion, and the Alumni of Michigan State University.

He is survived by five children:  Michael A (Deborah) Pattison and Tina K. (Ronald Stump) Pattison both of California; Colleen A. (Steve) Pate, and Kelly Slider, both of North Carolina; and Kevin P (Nicole) Pattison of Davisburg, MI.  Also surviving are his grandchildren: Dennis (Georgina) Pattison, John A. (Wassan Kasey) Pattison, Laura K. (Michael) Van Auker, and Sean R Stump, all of California, Troy W.P. Slider of GA, Shane F.R. Slider of Washington, Hunter Pattison of MI., as well as his great grandchildren; Flynn Van Auker, Micaela Pattison, Calista Pattison, and Aidan Pattison all of California

He was preceded in death by his wife Denise, his sister, Mary E. Olney, and his brother, Joseph W. Pattison, Jr.

Cremation has taken place.  Burial will be in St. Michael's Church Cemetery, Port Austin.

The family has requested memorials be directed to the Port Austin Historical Society or the Port Austin Township Library.  Local arrangements through the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde.
